Zebit vs Perpay — and what's actually on offer today

People who shopped at Zebit Market compare it to Perpay more than to anything else: both let you buy from a catalog and pay over time without good credit. One is gone. Here's how they line up, and where the loans and pay-later plans on zebitusa.com fit.

"0% interest" isn't "0% cost"

Marketplace models — Zebit Market then, Perpay now — charge no interest because the margin is in the price. The same TV can cost 20–40% more than at a big-box store. That's not a scam; it's how the model funds itself. But it belongs in the comparison.

$600 → $780

Interest-free, paid over months. Effective cost of credit: $180.

$600 → $600

$600 → $665

Decision

Who each one suits

Perpay suits you if

  • You're paid by direct deposit and can split it
  • You want purchases reported to the bureaus
  • You're fine paying above retail for interest-free

An installment loan through us suits you if

  • You need cash — a bill, a repair — not an item
  • You want to shop anywhere at the real price
  • You want a fixed end date and no prepayment penalty

Our BNPL suits you if

  • It's one item from $200 to $2,500
  • You can clear six payments on time for 0%
  • You'd rather not split your paycheck
Zebit vs Perpay questions

Asked by former Zebit Market customers

Is Perpay the same as Zebit?

No. Perpay is a separate, active company with a payroll-deduction marketplace. Zebit Market was Zebit, Inc.'s store, which stopped serving customers in 2024. Neither is affiliated with zebitusa.com.

Is Perpay legit?

Perpay is an established, operating company. As with any marketplace model, compare its item prices with retail before buying — the "free" credit is paid for in the price. We're not affiliated and don't earn anything from mentioning it.

Can I move my old Zebit account to Perpay or to you?

No account transfers exist in either direction. Perpay requires its own application; zebitusa.com sends a fresh request to lenders. Neither can see your Zebit Market history. Old Zebit accounts

Which builds credit better?

Perpay reports to the bureaus through its Perpay+ program. Many lenders in our network report installment loans — ask before signing; the agreement states it. An installment account paid on time generally adds more to a thin file than a marketplace line. Building credit
