About Zebit USAA connection,
not a lender.

zebitusa.com does one job: send your request for $200 to $5,000 to licensed lenders and pay-over-time providers, and show you every offer with the same four numbers on it. You pick one, or none. This page is who we are, how we're paid, and what we refuse to do.

What we believe

Borrowing should look like shopping, not like begging. You see the price, you compare, you decide.

The price of a loan is one number — the total you'll repay — and it belongs on the first page, not the last.

If something cheaper exists, we should say so, even when it costs us the referral.

That's the whole philosophy. Everything else on this site — the calculators, the comparisons, the alternatives page, the plain-English state notes — is just those three sentences applied.

What we don't do

  • Lend moneyThe lender funds the loan, sets the APR and collects payments. Our name isn't on your agreement.
  • Make credit decisionsLenders approve or decline using your income, bank history and state rules.
  • Charge borrowersNot to apply, not to "unlock" funds, not for support. Anyone who asks isn't us.
  • Sell your request to the highest bidderIt goes to licensed lenders that can serve your state — and you can opt out of further sharing.
  • Say "guaranteed approval" or "no credit check"Neither is true of any legitimate lender, so neither appears on this site.
  • Pretend to be the old ZebitSee below. We share a name and a product category; we don't share a company.

Editorial standards

How the numbers on this site are made

  1. Every figure has a source or a formulaPayments use the standard amortization formula at a stated APR; comparison costs cite the CFPB, NCUA or FTC; cost ranges name the kind of survey they came from.
  2. Representative means representativeOur example — $2,500 at 35.99% for 12 months, $251.17 × 12, $3,014 — is repeated unchanged everywhere, and we say when lenders charge more.
  3. Third parties are described as they describe themselvesOld Zebit, Perpay, Affirm and others: public terms, dated, hedged, not affiliated.
  4. Dated, and re-reviewedPages carry a last-reviewed date and are checked when rates, laws or products move — not once a year.
  5. Alternatives come first when they're cheaperCredit-union PALs, hospital plans, 211. Written up before our own product, on purpose.
  6. Reviews are real or they're not publishedCollected after the fact, unpaid, negatives kept. Nothing invented.

The Zebit editorial team

Zebit Editorial TeamConsumer lending research · zebitusa.com

A small team that has spent years inside consumer lending — on the lender side, the compliance side and the borrower-advocacy side — writing the pages we wished existed when we were explaining loans to family. We don't put individual bylines on YMYL finance content; we put our standards, our sources and our review dates on it instead, and we answer for every page at [email protected].
