Do not sell or share my personal information
Your right under California law and the privacy laws of several other states to stop us from selling or sharing your personal information. Submit the form, send an email, or turn on Global Privacy Control — any one works.
1. What "sell or share" means here
Zebit USA is paid by lenders when we transmit your loan request to them. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws, transmitting personal information to a third party for compensation can count as a "sale", and disclosing it for cross-context behavioral advertising can count as "sharing". We do not sell your information to data brokers, and we do not use third-party advertising cookies or pixels that would amount to "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. The main activity this page lets you stop is the transmission of your request information to lenders for compensation.
Practical note: if you opt out and then submit a loan request, we cannot transmit it to lenders, so you will not receive offers through zebitusa.com. You can opt back in at any time by submitting a new request and confirming consent on the form.
2. Submit a request
The form composes an email from your own mail client so you keep a copy; nothing is stored on this page. You can also simply email [email protected] with "Do Not Sell or Share" in the subject.
We verify opt-out requests only to the extent needed to match you to our records (usually the email address); we won't ask you to create an account.
3. Global Privacy Control
If your browser or extension sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser, as California and other states require. Checking your browser…
GPC applies to the browser it's set on; to opt out across devices, submit the form above as well.
4. What happens after you opt out
- We stop transmitting your information to lenders for compensation within 15 business days and tell any lender we transmitted it to in the prior 90 days to do the same, where the law requires.
- Service emails about an already-open request continue until it closes; you can unsubscribe from anything else.
- We keep a record of your opt-out so we can honor it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising this right — the site works the same, except that we can't send a request to lenders.
- We won't ask you to opt in again for at least 12 months unless you start a new request and choose to.
5. Authorized agents
Someone else may submit an opt-out for you. We may ask them for written permission signed by you, or proof of power of attorney, and may confirm the request with you directly. Select "An authorized agent on my behalf" in the form.
6. Other rights
To access, correct, delete or port your information, or to limit use of sensitive personal information, email [email protected] from the address you used with us; we respond within 45 days. Details and the GLBA note are in the privacy policy. If you believe we haven't honored a request, write to us with "Privacy appeal" in the subject; you may also contact your state attorney general.
