No credit check loansWe won't say it.
Here's what it means when others do.
"No credit check" is the most-searched phrase in small-dollar lending and the least honest. Every legitimate lender checks something. The useful question is which check — because one of them never touches your score, and that's the one lenders in our network use.
Soft check only to see offers · No minimum score · Hard check only after you accept
None, soft, or hard
Every "no credit check" ad is describing one of these three. Only the first is literally true — and it's the expensive one.
No check at all
Score untouched- Lender looks at nothing but your paycheck or your car title
- Payday, title and pawn loans; most lease-to-own
- Nothing reported, nothing built
The catch: no information means maximum risk, priced at 300%+ APR or 2× the item's price.
Soft check
Score untouched- Lender views your file; the inquiry is invisible to other lenders
- Your score does not change
- Decision leans on income and bank history, not the number
Honest name: "no hard credit check" or "no impact to your score." That's what you get here.
Hard check
Small, temporary dip- Recorded on your report; other lenders can see it
- Typically a few points, fading within a year
- Banks, cards, car loans — and our lenders, only after you accept an offer
When it's fine: one hard pull for a loan you're actually taking is normal and expected.
What a soft-check lender actually reads
With a soft check and no minimum score, the decision has to come from somewhere. This is where. None of it is a FICO number, and most of it is in your control within 60–90 days.
- Deposits into your checking accountRegular, recurring, and large enough to cover the payment several times over.
- The last 60–90 days of that accountOverdrafts, returned items, balance pattern. Lenders read the statement before the score.
- Your soft credit file — for direction, not a cutoffRecent collections or a current bankruptcy matter; an old late payment barely does.
- Identity and fraud signalsDoes the name, address, SSN and account belong together? Verified through secure tools, never your bank password.
- Your stateWhether the amount and term you asked for are legal where you live.

And what the skip costs
These exist, and they are legal in many states. The check they skip is replaced by a price.

Four phrases, decoded
What the ad says
"No credit check loans"
"Guaranteed approval"
"Bad credit OK — instant approval"
"Won't affect your credit"
What's usually true
A soft check — or a payday/title product that replaces the check with a 300% price.
Nothing is guaranteed before an application is reviewed. This phrase marks advance-fee scams more reliably than anything else. Scam alerts
Approval leans on income and banking, and "instant" means an automated decision — true of us too; the APR is where credit shows up.
Seeing offers won't; accepting one triggers a hard pull, and missed payments can be reported. Honest sites say both halves.
Soft to look. Hard only to take.
- 01You request $200–$5,000Three minutes. No documents for most people.
- 02Lenders run a soft inquiryInvisible to other lenders; your score doesn't move. They read income and bank history.
- 03You see offers, or you don'tEither way, nothing appears on your report. Declining every offer costs nothing.
- 04Accept one → the lender may run a hard inquiryStandard for any loan you actually take. A few points, temporary.
- 05Pay on time → many lenders report itWhich is how a "no minimum score" loan becomes a better score. The agreement says whether the lender reports.

Asked before applying
Does Zebit do a credit check?
Lenders in our network run a soft inquiry to show you offers, which doesn't affect your score or appear to other lenders. A hard inquiry may happen only after you accept a specific offer. We don't call this "no credit check" because it isn't.
Can I get a loan with no credit history at all?
Yes. A thin or empty file is treated much like fair credit when income is steady and the checking account is clean. Expect a smaller first amount; many lenders report, so the loan itself starts the history. Bad credit and thin files
How much does a hard inquiry hurt?
Usually under five points, and it stops counting toward most scores after a year. One hard pull for a loan you take is expected; many pulls in a short time from shopping around unwisely is what hurts.
Are "no credit check" installment loans real?
Legitimate installment lenders check something — usually a soft pull plus bank data. Products that check nothing are payday, title and pawn loans, and most lease-to-own, priced accordingly. If an "installment loan" promises no check of any kind, read the APR twice. Compare
See your offers without touching your score
No minimum score, no fee to look, every cost printed — and a hard pull only for a loan you actually choose.
Checking your rate does not affect your credit score.
